Can I make a claim?
Firstly, you must pay your rent to either a Housing Association or a Council. Unfortunately, we do not currently claim against private landlords.
If you have previously notified your landlord that you have issues of disrepair in your property and they have failed to adequately fix the issues, then you could have a claim.
What if my claim is successful?
If your claim is successful, we will ensure that your landlord fixes the disrepair you are complaining about.
In addition landlords are usually required to pay you compensation because you have been living and paying rent on a property which hasn't been adequately maintained.
How much does it Cost?
We do not charge for assessing your case. We operate a strict 'No Win No fee' policy. If your case loses, it won't cost you a penny. You only pay when your case is successful and the cost would be simply deducted from any compensation you receive. This amount will never exceed 25% of your total compensation. However, the main things is that we will ensure all repairs are carried out by your landlord and we do not deduct anything from the cost of repairs.
